Event Recap: Queer Time Capsule Gathering at Petaluma Arts Center
On Friday, May 23rd, we gathered at the Petaluma Arts Center for a powerful evening of community, storytelling, and shared vision. Surrounded by the walls of our Queer Time Capsule exhibition, we came together to debut the first trailer from our upcoming documentary—a moving preview of the stories and moments that are shaping this living archive.
JT, our collaborator and facilitator, led a thoughtful and energizing conversation about where the project is headed. Together, we reflected on what it means to document queer culture in real time, how to expand the project’s reach, and what our community needs most from this work in the coming years.
The room was full of ideas, emotion, and deep connection—a reminder of why we started this project in the first place. We’re grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and continues to help shape the future of Queer Time Capsule.
Because our stories matter. And this is just the beginning.
