Event Recap: Closing Day of Queer Time Capsule at Petaluma Arts Center

On Saturday, June 7th, we spent the final hours of Queer Time Capsule at the Petaluma Arts Center surrounded by friends, family—both chosen and biological—and the community that has carried this project forward. JT and I were honored to be there in person for the closing, holding space with visitors, sharing stories, and reflecting on the impact of the past several weeks.

It was a beautiful, full-circle moment to witness people engaging deeply with the portraits, words, and energy woven throughout the gallery. We laughed, we cried, we felt the gravity and the joy of queer storytelling made visible.

Having Queer Time Capsule at the Petaluma Arts Center has been a profound experience. We're incredibly grateful to the team at PAC for believing in this work and helping us create a space that celebrated queer culture in all its complexity, beauty, and resilience.

Thank you to everyone who visited, supported, or stood with us. This closing wasn’t an end—it was a launchpad. The future of Queer Time Capsule is unfolding, and we’re so glad you’re part of it.
